AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE 560,000+ MORE OR LESS ACRES Amount of Acreage Identified by Land and Tax Certificates Para, Brasil
INTRODUCTION The purpose of the present research was to obtain the figures of localization, accessibility and volume of commercial timber of growing trees at the forest area. Located at the southern part of the Maraja Island, Municipal District of Curralinho, State of Para, between the southern parallels 19,111,4011 and is 331 101, and the meridians W49’L, 31 2911111 and W 509 21 17”. This area of 100,000 acres which is part of the total rectangular area of 25 x 35 miles evenly covered by forest of pluyial-equatorial type. Using a delimiting chart and a map obtained from IBGE Geographic and Statistic Institute, scale 1,250,0000, an arial survey was made. On a 3 hour helicopter flight, the phytic formation and distribution and distribution of species was analyzed and observed, as a preparation for exploratory forest register. A camp was established near Sta. Ana River, as the center of exploration for our work. The ground is solid and plain, only with slight elevations which allows the opening of forest required for harvesting including a main road for carrying the logs to the ports of Turg, where Rio Sta. Ana, joining the Altamira River, emerges as the Pri River. The soil is a silicic-clayish compound for the major part, and argillaceous-silicic where lowering towards the Igapos, periodically inundated parts of Riverine woodland. The area was formed at quaternary era, alluvium soil not rich in organic deposits. An adaphologic study will be necessary to establish future use as to the right plantations and reforesting. The neighboring land adjoining this parcel was harvested and sold their timber and are now raising buffalo with extremely big profit! To the south, the land encounters 35 miles on Big Para River and runs into the Atlantic. The timber is CCA.90 prime hardwood, about 15,000 acres of cocoa plantation, medicine trees with unique flowers used in cosmetics, some brasilian black walnut, and “sucaplera” described in the species of the land provided in serious dealing as the only wood could be used for a special kind of gun manufacturing in Spain and it is the most expensive besides it has rosewood, teakwood, mahogany, rubber trees, medicine trees, etc. “IBAMA”, Belem Environmental Dept. informed us 2 years ago that the land is zoned for “RESORT”. It has not been applied for yet because the land is temporarily in dormant stage. The land also has gold, diamond, bauxite, emerald, rubies, etc. A decision was made by our partners to sell it for a fraction of the value. Presently the land is owned free and clear.
